    Athletic Information

Noah Tresize is a versatile defender who has played soccer since the age of four. A hardworking and committed team player, he brings intensity, determination, and leadership regardless of the score. Having captained teams throughout his development, he leads through clear communication, a strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.

Noah joined FC Meilen at age ten, spending four years at the club before moving to FC Herrliberg. Within his first season, he earned the captain’s armband through his leadership on and off the field and his ability to communicate effectively with teammates and coaches. He progressed through the club’s youth teams, moving from the C-B squad to the older B-B age group before earning a place in the regional B-A squad. He currently plays for FC Herrliberg’s third senior men’s team, gaining experience competing against adult players.

Alongside club soccer, Noah represented his school from middle school onwards, initially earning a place on the A team as its third-youngest player. He played junior varsity during his first two years of high school and varsity during his final two years, in line with the school’s age restrictions. Beyond his contributions on the field, he advocated for improvements to the soccer programme, including training quality, equipment, and clearer communication between players and staff. In his final varsity season, he earned the team’s MVP award, was named Most Valuable Defender at the Sports Council of International Schools (SCIS) tournament in Warsaw, Poland, and received All-Tournament Best XI honours.

Primarily a fullback on either side, Noah combines speed, stamina, and strong tackling with the ability to turn defensive recoveries into attacking opportunities. He is confident defending one-on-one and enjoys contributing in possession. His preferred role is as an inverted fullback, moving into midfield to support build-up play, create passing options, and help dictate the tempo. He can also play centrally in defence, using his recovery speed and communication to provide cover, organise the back line, and build possession from deep. Previous experience as a box-to-box midfielder further adds to his versatility.

Noah brings a competitive, assertive approach to defending. He welcomes physical duels and uses close marking and defensive positioning to put opponents under pressure. His determination remains consistent during difficult periods, and he actively encourages his teammates to stay composed, maintain their focus, and work together.
