Athletic Information

Field hockey has always been Daantje’s favorite sport because of the team spirit, the feeling of achieving goals together, and the opportunity to grow both individually and as a team.

Standing at 5’11” (1.81 m), Daantje combines her size and physical strength with excellent speed. She is a hard-working player with a strong scoring ability who contributes both offensively and defensively. Her athleticism, determination, and willingness to work for the team make her a valuable presence on the field.

Throughout her hockey career, she has played at the highest national level, with her teams regularly achieving strong finishes at national championships. Her current team recently qualified for the highest national league, consisting of the top 16 U18 teams in the country. One of her favorite hockey memories came at last year’s National Indoor Championships. During a shoot-out competition for a place in the semifinals, Daantje scored the winning goal.

Daantje currently competes for the first U-18 team of Gooische Hockeyclub at the highest U18 level in the Netherlands. She serves as captain of her team. She takes pride in coaching and encouraging her teammates on the field and supporting them whenever needed. She is excited to continue developing as both a player and a leader while working toward ambitious goals and creating new experiences with her future team.
