Personal Information

Yanis is a dedicated student-athlete from Bavaria, Germany, who is curious, responsible, and committed. He enjoys challenging himself, learning new things, and working toward long-term goals. He is looking forward to continuing his academic and athletic development in the United States and contributing to his future college community.

Outside of academics and athletics, Yanis has played the saxophone for 12 years, making music an important part of his life. He also served as a student representative for two years, taking on responsibility for his peers and contributing to his school community.

Yanis graduated from high school with the Abitur, Germany’s highest secondary school diploma, in June 2026. During high school, he developed a strong interest in science and focused on Physics, reflecting his curiosity and analytical approach to learning. He also faced a challenging family situation during this period, which temporarily affected his academic performance. Despite this, he remained determined and continued to work hard, strengthening his resilience, perseverance, and ability to stay focused when facing challenges.

Following graduation, Yanis will spend a voluntary year at a school in France, giving him the opportunity to experience a different cultural and educational environment while developing greater independence and adaptability. During the upcoming fall semester, he also plans to take the ACT and TOEFL as part of his preparation for college in the United States.
