    Athletic Information

Julia started playing soccer when she was 7 years old (2014), at a local club, v.v. Rhoon. She quickly discovered that goalkeeping was her destiny. Julia honed her skills and sharpened her instincts at v.v. Rhoon, immersing herself in the game and laying the groundwork for her future in soccer. In 2019, she was scouted by professional academy Feyenoord Rotterdam, to play for their U14 girls' team. From that moment on she started progressing quickly.

In 2023, Julia transferred to the professional academy of Excelsior, playing for the first U20 team at the highest national level. They became champions in the first half of the season, and they are currently first in the league. Julia has played 9 games so far, with 8 of them being clean sheets.

Julia is often described as a true sweeper keeper, due to her active participation in outfield play. On the field, Julia shows leadership very well and knows how to coach and organize her defense. She has a positive mentality and shows that on the pitch. Her distribution is very good, as well as her overall positioning. She adapts to new environments easily and is always open to feedback to improve herself further. Her ability to comprehend and analyze the strategic aspects of the game is outstanding.

Julia is a real team player, but she is also very comfortable doing things by herself. Her passion for the game and her motivation push her to be the best version of herself on and off the pitch. Julia has worked with several top goalkeeper coaches, like Ed de Goeij (International, Chelsea, Feyenoord, Sparta, Stoke City). Julia's journey has been marked by dedication and determination.
