Athletic Information

Gwenn started playing field hockey at the age of 5, and she has been playing at her field hockey club in Almere (AHC) for her whole career. During her junior career, she has always played on the highest team in her age group, playing at the highest or second-highest national level every year. Since the 2020 season, she has been captain of her team, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills. During her first year as a captain, she led the squad to the indoor championship. She also played for the Dutch regional team for 3 years.

This season, Gwenn is the starting center midfielder for the highest junior team at her club, making an impact on the offensive and defensive end, while playing at the national level.

Gwenn can be described as a versatile, forceful and insightful midfielder with a great vision for the game, the ball, leads to run, and cuts to make. She averaged about .5 goals per game and forced penalty corners nearly every game.

On the midfield, she uses her strength, speed, and quick hands to stay clear of defenders and create space for herself and her teammates. She is also the first inserter in the offensive penalty corner, providing many assists during the season.
