Personal and academic information


Lisa is a seventeen-year old girl who lives with her parents in Bussum, the Netherlands. She is the youngest of a family of six. Her parents are both entrepreneurs. Her youngest brother and sister are both students at the university of Delft and her oldest brother is a student at the university of Tilburg. She comes from a very athletic family, while everyone has played field hockey at the club in Hilversum: ’T Spandersbosch.


Lisa is a very enthusiastic, outgoing and disciplined girl who makes sure that everyone enjoys themselves. Besides playing field hockey, she loves to hang out with friends and organize activities with friends or school. This year she is in the planning commission that organizes the graduation festivities for students of her school.


Lisa is currently a senior in high school (VWO level) at ‘’Willem de Zwijger college’’ and is expected to graduate in the following subjects: Dutch language, German language, English language, Spanish language, mathematics, management and organization, economics, history in June 2019. She achieved a TOEFL score of 90 and and a combined score of 1000 (R:470; M:530) on her SAT.


Athletic information


Lisa started playing field hockey at ‘T Spandersbosch since she was seven years old. During her junior career Lisa played in the first teams of her age group at one of the highest junior levels. She has been the captain of the team in the age category U-16. When she is not the captain, she still is a natural leader during matches who tries to get the best out of her team.


Lisa is a very physically strong striker who can play at every position in the front but mostly as a left- or right-striker. She is very fast and loves to use her speed to make rushes and create open spaces in the field. Lisa is known for her great overview, her strong fore– and backhand and great passing. She is a clever player who, for example, forces many penalty corners. Moreover, she has a strong tackle-back, is a real team player she and has been a stick stopper in the penalty corner for three years.

Her sprints are very good as well. She’s an asset to any team’’
