Personal and academic information:


Wouter is a 17-year-old goalkeeper, who grew up in Best, The Netherlands. He is an open-minded, social, disciplined, loyal, and ambitious person with a strong mentality. He is a calm guy who is always in a good mood, and he is a pleasant person to have in the group.

 

He is a very mature and independent person who manages his affairs concerning football, school, finances himself. In June 2021 Wouter graduated high school (Havo level) and, due to Covid, he decided to delay his college entrance to Fall 2022. He achieved a score of 73 on his TOEFL and 990 on his SAT.

 

Athletic information

 

At the age of 5, Wouter started playing soccer at his local club, RKVV Best Vooruit. At the age of 10, he suffered a small injury that forced him to start goalkeeping and he stayed in the goal ever since. In the U-12 he was noticed by both youth academies of professional clubs PSV and FC Eindhoven for his excellent goalkeeping qualities. He eventually decided to play for the U-13 team of FC Eindhoven. 

 

During his career at FC Eindhoven, he has gained a lot of match experience against other (international) professional clubs like Arsenal, Borussia Mönchengladbach, PSV, Feyenoord, Ajax, RSC Anderlecht, and many more. This season, he plays for FC Eindhoven U-18 in the 4th highest division in The Netherlands, where he competes against other professional academies like Roda JC, MVV, and GA Eagles.

 

Wouter is a modern goalkeeper who can easily be used as the eleventh player due to his excellent soccer capacities. He is vocal and ensures that his defense is alert and in the correct position by coaching them at the right time. In addition, he is great with his feet, is physically strong, fast, and agile. He is very coachable and pushes himself to his limits at every training to become the best he can be.
