Personal and academic information


Daniel is a 19 year old soccer player who was born and raised in Switzerland. His parents migrated from Portugal looking for brighter future. He started playing soccer at the age of 5 years old in the club of his town. At the age of 12, Daniel was selected to join the national soccer center and moved out to live at the soccer center. 


Daniel will graduate high school in the spring of 2016, and is scheduled to take the SAT and TOEFL in the fall of 2015. Daniel is fluent in French, Portuguese and English, and also has proficiency in Spanish, Italian and German.  


He is very excited about the opportunity to play college soccer. For him, this would be the ideal situation to get a degree, while keep working and training hard to maybe get a chance to go pro once he graduates. 


Athletic information


Daniel started playing soccer at the age of 5 in his hometown, until he turned 11. During his junior career he  was selected to play for the state team in which the best players of the state were part of. He then joined the Swiss national soccer center in Payerne.


After two years at the national center, Daniel was recruited internationally by Benfica Lisbon, where he played in the U17 team. In the meantime, Daniel was also selected several times to practice with the national team U15, and more regularly the year after with U17 national team. 


When Daniel came back to Switzerland to obtain his high school degree, he continued his career with Lausanne-Sport. Daniel has been playing in the “1ere League” for Terre-Sainte for the past 3 years now.


Daniel is a very skillful offensive midfielder who can also play as a defensive midfielder. He is very passionate, hardworking and has a great mentality. Since he already played for high level clubs nationally and internationally he is very experienced and mature for his young age. Daniel will be a great addition to your team.
