Athletic Information
Pippa began playing soccer at the age of 11 with the local club Die Haghe, where she consistently played for the highest team in her age group throughout her junior career. Two years ago, she made the switch to Graaf Willem, seeking a more competitive environment with teammates who, like her, are deeply committed to winning.
A right-footed midfielder/forward, Pippa has served as a team captain for several years. Her strongest points are her speed, dribbling, and positioning. With her speed and drive forward, she poses a constant threat during the game. Her dribbling allows her to easily get past opponents, and she often spots where the space is, so she knows where to move the ball. She positions herself well, both with and without the ball: she understands what’s expected of her in both offensive and defensive tasks. Additionally, she is very eager to learn and holds herself to high standards, which keeps her driven and motivated.
Although she has primarily played on girls' teams, she spent an entire season during her early years training once a week with the boys' select team. In addition to her regular training, Pippa frequently plays matches with higher-level teams and often steps in to support them when needed.
At 13, Pippa joined the ADO Den Haag Academy, where she trained mostly with boys. This experience made her physically stronger and led to significant improvements in her technique, which has since become her greatest strength. Known for her punctuality and preparedness, Pippa currently competes in the first U-20 team of Graaf W II VAC in the top amateur league (Hoofdklasse).
In April 2024, she traveled with her soccer team to Denmark to participate in a European tournament, where they ultimately finished second. Together with a teammate, Pippa organized a charity run to raise money for special team sweaters and shirts for the tournament, which they also designed and ordered together. Additionally, they secured two major sponsors who funded a large portion of the trip. Finally, they arranged thank-you gifts for all the parents and coaches who helped with the trip.
