Lieve Schiphof

Personal Information

Lieve is a 16-year-old girl (2007) from Bussum, the Netherlands, who grew up with a twin sister and two older brothers.

Balancing her passion for soccer with academics, Lieve attends the Comenius College in Hilversum, a high school for talented athletes like herself, where she is expected to graduate in June 2025, Lieve now has her sights set on the unique opportunity of combining her academic pursuits with soccer by studying and playing in America. She is scheduled to take her SAT and Toefl in the fall of 2024.

Athletic Information

At the age of 5 years, she started to play soccer at NVC, a local soccer club, in boy's teams, which only enhanced her skills and resilience. Her talent didn't go unnoticed, and she eventually played for the first U-15 boy's team. During this time, the Royal Dutch Soccer Association (KNVB) also invited her to represent their regional team.

To improve she then transferred to SV Huizen, where she not only continued to thrive but also took on the role of captain in the first boys U-16 team, competing in the 4th highest boy's soccer league. Alongside SV Huizen she was also training with the girls' U-16 squad of the professional academy of Ajax. Last year Lieve transferred to the U-16 girls' squad of the professional academy of FC Utrecht.

Lieve is a smart, strong right-footed versatile midfielder who can play center or on the right side. She has good vision and can switch the play effectively. Lieve always thinks two steps ahead and can deliver excellent through passes into the depth. She is calm under pressure and excels at moving the ball out of tight spaces and passing it back. Her ball control lets her play forward quickly, and she makes smart, quick runs. Having played with boys, she's physically strong and uses her body well, winning many duels. Defensively, she's well-positioned and intercepts often. A true team player and effective leader, Lieve is eager to learn and applies tips immediately.
