Athletic Information
Hannelore has been playing soccer since age 7 and it has been a central part of her life ever since. She never misses training or matches, consistently bringing energy and enthusiasm. Hannelore has taken every opportunity to improve, including extra sessions with TikkieTakkie and four years at the ADO Academy, often training six days a week and occasionally playing two matches in one day. Her dedication demonstrates her passion, strong physical endurance, and mental toughness.
Initially a defender, she transitioned to midfield, becoming the top scorer for the Under-15 team, before returning to defense. Over time, she developed into a versatile central defender, excelling under the guidance of her coaches. She played every match of her unbeaten season in the first division.
Hannelore’s leadership and determination stand out. She captained her team for four seasons and played a key role both on and off the field, organizing fundraising efforts and supporting teammates. For example, she independently organized the fundraising for team merchandise and arranged thank-you gifts for the coach and parents who supported the team during the season and the international tournament in Denmark. Her strengths—speed, teamwork, and dedication—are evident in her play. She tracks even the fastest attackers, never gives up, and is confident on the ball, always seeking to build from the back with precise passing.
Hannelore currently competes in the first U-20 team of Graaf W II VAC in the top amateur league (Hoofdklasse). Her relentless drive to improve, paired with her technical skills and leadership, makes her an invaluable asset to any team.
From her coach:
“Hannelore's greatest strengths as a central defender are her speed, vision, and positioning. With her speed, she can almost always fix teammates' mistakes and cover gaps behind the defense. She also communicates effectively, allowing teammates to cover her position, keeping the team in the right structure. She is good at judging when to step up as a defender or hold her position. Furthermore, she’s very aggressive in 1-on-1 duels, making it difficult to get by her, especially when combined with her speed.”
