Athletic Information

Emma started playing field hockey at the age of 8 at HCAS and during her junior career, she played at almost every position in the field. It was not until the season of 2021/2022 that after an injury she became the starting GK for the first team U-25 where she and her team won the championship in the second division. The next year she was asked to be the starting GK of the 2nd women's team, competing in the reserve "overgangsklasse" (2nd highest division for 2nd teams). After taking a year to focus solely on training to maintain eligibility, Emma is now the first-choice goalkeeper for the first U-25 team at NMHC, playing in the first division.

Emma is a goalkeeper with great potential. Her previous experience as a defender, midfielder, and forward gives her an edge, allowing her to anticipate player movements and ball distribution. She knows how to stay focused for the entirety of the game, has excellent endurance, and is ready to get into action at any time. Her strong suits include penalty corners, tip-ins, balls from the top of the circle, and penalty strokes.

She is looking forward to further developing her skills and combining them with her academics.
