Personal Information

Benthe Kaan is a 17-year-old girl from Zeist, The Netherlands, where she grew up alongside her twin brother in an athletic family. Her brother excels in soccer at the national level and also practices karate.

Benthe is highly ambitious, competitive, and passionate about sports. While field hockey is her main focus, she has also engaged in a variety of other sports like soccer, sailing, skiing, and snowboarding. She serves as a youth field hockey coach three times a week, holding a Basic Coach certificate and currently working toward her HockeyCoach2 certification, expected to be completed by Fall 2024. She also trains at summer hockey camps through hockeykampen.nl. Outside of sports, Benthe enjoys reading and babysits for two families in her neighborhood.

Academically, she is in her junior year at the highest level of Dutch high school (VWO), with graduation expected in June 2026. Her favorite subjects include History, Business Economics, and foreign languages like French and German. She also studies Mathematics, Dutch, English, Economics, Philosophy, Culture & Art, and Physical Education.

Benthe is scheduled to take the SAT and TOEFL in the Fall of 2025.
