Personal Information

Ashanti Ligo is a 16-year-old passionate and driven tennis player who comes from an athletic family. Ashanti brings a dynamic spirit to the court and complements her tennis training with a love for running and volleyball. Outside of sports, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, embodying a well-rounded and grounded lifestyle.

Ashanti is currently a dedicated sophomore at Grace Baptiste Secondary School in Vanuatu, where she maintains a strong 3.5 GPA. Her favorite subjects—History, Geography, and Literature—reflect her curiosity and intellectual depth, while she also enjoys the challenges of Mathematics and Science. With aspirations of becoming a lawyer, Ashanti is ambitious both on and off the court. Long term, she hopes to give back to the tennis community through coaching, demonstrating her deep respect and love for the sport.

Athletic Information

On the court, Ashanti is known for her aggressive yet thoughtful playing style. She wields a powerful topspin forehand and a consistent two-handed backhand that allow her to control rallies from the baseline.

Her strategic serving, with a strong topspin first serve and a reliable second serve, keeps opponents on their heels. At the net, Ashanti shines with confident volleys and powerful smashes, rounding out her versatile game. Her relentless work ethic and competitive mindset make her a standout athlete with tremendous potential at the collegiate level and beyond. She currently doesn't have a UTR, but we estimate it between 4 and 5.
