Personal Information

Sydnee is a 21-year-old 6'5 ft basketball player born and raised in the Netherlands. From a young age, Sydnee has always been into sports, playing a bunch of different sports: tennis, soccer, football, but basketball stuck with him. He loves being on the court and wants to win no matter what. He is a motivated team player and really builds connections with his teammates.

Sydnee graduated from high school in 2021 with a Mavo diploma and decided to focus more on basketball. During his basketball season of 23/24, Sydnee got his GED. After obtaining this, he started his bachelor's degree in Business Administration online at Southern New Hampshire University. He is expected to obtain his his associate's degree in spring of 2026. Sydnee is now set on transferring to the USA to finish his bachelor's degree in business administration degree while playing basketball at a high level.

Athletic Information

Sydnee picked up a basketball for the first time at the age of eight in the Netherlands and immediately fell in love with the game. By the age of thirteen, he was already competing at the highest level in his age group, showing maturity and competitiveness beyond his years. At just sixteen, he made his debut in the men’s second league, and two years later he captured both the U18 national championship and the men’s league title in the Netherlands. That same year, he was selected for the Dutch U18 national team, where he started as point guard at the European Championship. His leadership, pace, and ability to create for teammates helped the team secure an eighth-place finish.

After his success in the Netherlands, Sydnee moved to Germany to further challenge himself. He joined Rasta Vechta U19 and ProB, where he transitioned into a more versatile role, playing as both a shooting guard and small forward. His defensive intensity stood out, and he helped both teams reach the finals. Over the next two seasons, he continued to develop with the Rostock Seawolves ProB, expanding his skill set as a true combo guard who could effectively run the point or provide scoring from the wing.

In the summers of 2024 and 2025, Sydnee also represented the Netherlands in 3x3 basketball with the U21 national team. His performances helped the team qualify for the World Cup, further showcasing his adaptability and competitiveness on the international stage. Currently, Sydnee plays for the Itzehoe Eagles in Germany’s ProB, where he continues to refine his all-around game as a guard/wing.

At 6’5” with a 6’9” wingspan, Sydnee combines length and athleticism with leadership and vision. He thrives as a versatile two-way player, capable of defending multiple positions, finishing above the rim, and creating opportunities for his teammates. Coaches and teammates value him not only for his skillset, but also for his vocal presence, accountability, and relentless will to win.
