    Personal Information

    Raed Rizvie is a 17-year-old student-athlete of Sri Lankan heritage, born and raised in Dubai, UAE. He currently attends The Winchester School, where he has developed a strong ability to balance academic excellence with the demands of high-performance, competitive tennis. Raed’s journey—both in the classroom and on the court—has been shaped by a family culture rooted in hard work, discipline, and ambition.

    Academically, Raed is a dedicated and intellectually curious student with a particular interest in economics. He is currently in his senior year and aspires to study at a top university that offers both academic rigor and a highly competitive athletic environment. He is motivated to pursue a degree that challenges him intellectually while preparing him for a successful and meaningful career. In his IGCSE examinations, Raed achieved 2 A*s and 5 As.

    Beyond academics, he has also contributed to initiatives with the United Nations, engaged in entrepreneurial projects, and actively participated in a wide range of school sports and competitions. These experiences have strengthened his leadership skills and his commitment to being a positive role model in his community.

    Athletic Information

    Raed began playing tennis at the age of seven and has since competed in numerous national and international tournaments, including UAE Federation events, as well as ITF, ATF, and UTR circuits. He was ranked No. 1 in the UAE under-18 category and reached a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the Asian under-14 circuit. He currently holds a UTR of 9.84.

    As a player, Raed identifies as an aggressive baseliner who thrives in long rallies, constantly looking to create tactical openings to attack and break down his opponent’s game. His mental resilience and physical endurance allow him to stay composed during high-pressure matches. He is known for being highly coachable, respectful, and eager to improve—qualities that have helped him develop steadily over the years. Tennis has instilled in him the values of discipline, preparation, and a strong competitive mindset.

    He currently trains approximately 4.5 hours a day with his team at Unity Tennis, focusing on both physical conditioning and technical development.
