Personal Information
Qwin grew up in a very athletic environment, as both of her parents were PE teachers before moving to France. From a young age, she developed a strong competitive mindset and participated in multiple sports, including judo, athletics, skiing, climbing, horseback riding, and orienteering.
Throughout elementary school, she consistently performed well in cross-country races and even won a canicross competition against both girls and boys. Her broad sports background helped her develop endurance, discipline, coordination, and mental toughness.
In 2019, she visited family in Australia and briefly attended an Australian school, further strengthening her international perspective and English communication skills.
After elementary school, Qwin attended a Sports and Nature boarding school in the Vercors (France), where she consistently ranked at the top of her class. She became heavily involved in student leadership, serving as class representative, school representative, member of the student life council, and participant in the Conseil Départemental des Jeunes.
Alongside her studies, she gained extensive work experience helping her parents at their campings in roles such as children’s entertainer, waiter, bingo organizer, and bread seller. She is also highly creative and enjoys crocheting, crafting, reading, and writing.
In 9th grade, Qwin passed the French Brevet exam with an excellent score of 734.5/800. She then moved back to the Netherlands and entered VWO 4. Despite the challenge of adapting to the Dutch education system after many years abroad, she quickly adjusted academically and became involved in extracurricular activities including debating, the Model European Parliament, and Cambridge English.
In June, she obtained her Cambridge CAE certificate with a score of 195, particularly excelling in Use of English. She also works as a waitress while completing her studies. Qwin is expected to graduate in 2027 with courses including English, Dutch, Economics, Business Economics, Mathematics B, and History.
