Athletic Information

Miah plays as a central midfielder, primarily in the ‘10’ or ‘8’ positions. While right-footed, she is proficient with her left foot for passing and shooting. Her technical skills are impressive, and she excels tactically, with an exceptional ability to read the game and find space behind the opposition's defense with her passes. Miah is known for her powerful shot and at state fair took the majority of her team’s corners and free kicks.

During her junior career Miah joined the soccer academy of v.v. Alkmaar (Currently AZ Alkmaar) and trained with their Under 17s team. Miah was champions with her U-17 team in the ‘hoofdklasse’. Then she moved on to play for FC Castricum U20s team at just 16 years old that competed in the ‘hoofdklasse’. She also played indoor soccer (futsal) at the second-highest level in the Netherlands for the U20s team.

In the fall of 2023, Miah was recruited to the soccer team at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO. She successfully completed her two years there, serving as the team captain for the second season. She then transfered to Louisiana Christian University where she unfortunatly tore her ACL and is now recovering quickly.

Her decision to transfer now is mostly because the university is not a good fit for her. She experienced little interest and support before and after her ACL surgery. Therefore she would like to have a fresh start and go to a school that sees her potential and creates a positive environment for their players to feel comfortable and play to the best of their abilities.
