Personal Information
Lara Tuinman was born in Rotterdam and is currently 17 years old. Together with her twin sister, she spent two formative years living in the United States from 2016 to 2018. During this period, she attended school and trained gymnastics at a competitive level. This early international experience helped shape her adaptability, independence, and confidence in new environments. In addition to her native language Dutch, Lara speaks fluent English.
Lara is known for her strong work ethic, discipline, and positive mindset. Through years of dedicated training, she has developed focus, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility. She approaches challenges with commitment and is recognized as a supportive and reliable teammate.
Academically, Lara is currently completing her final year of senior general secondary education (HAVO) in the Netherlands and is expected to graduate in June 2026. She is following a Nature & Health–focused curriculum, which includes English, physics, chemistry, biology, and French as a foreign language. Her academic choices reflect both her interest in science-related subjects and her affinity for languages.
Balancing a demanding academic schedule with an intensive training routine has strengthened her time-management skills, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure. Lara is highly motivated to continue developing both academically and athletically. Her goal is to combine her passion for gymnastics with a strong academic program while contributing positively to a college team environment and continuing to grow as both a student and an athlete.

Alongside her studies, she trains gymnastics multiple times per week, requiring careful planning and excellent time-management skills.
