    Athletic Information

Lara started gymnastics at a very young age alongside her twin sister, Feline. She began with toddler gymnastics at the age of two and joined a gymnastics club when she was four years old. At the age of five, she was selected for a competitive team after being noticed at a competition.

When Lara was six years old, her family relocated to the United States due to her father’s work. There, she trained at Mercury Gymnastics, where she competed at Level 3 and Level 4. This international experience contributed significantly to both her athletic and personal development.

After returning to the Netherlands, Lara continued her gymnastics career at O&O Gymnastics. She trained at Level 9, practicing five days per week for approximately three and a half hours per session. This period further strengthened her discipline, perseverance, and time-management abilities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2021), Lara temporarily stepped away from gymnastics after experiencing a decline in motivation. However, after some time, she realized how much she missed the sport. In September 2025, she decided to return to gymnastics with renewed motivation and focus.

Gymnastics has played a defining role in Lara’s life, teaching her perseverance, commitment, and resilience. These qualities continue to guide her in both her athletic journey and future aspirations.
