    Personal Information

    Julia de Ritter was born in Barendrecht, the Netherlands. She grew up in a family of 5, with divorced parents. Ever since she started high school, she has been balancing between soccer and school, which was not always easy. She obtained her GED in June 2024 and started her college at Lewis & Clark Community College in the Fall of 2024. She is expected to obtain her associate's degree in Arts in Spring 2026 and her goal is to transfer to a four-year school to obtain her bachelor's degree while playing at a high level

    Athletic Information

    During her junior career, Julia played in the juniors of professional academy Feyenoord Rotterdam, In 2023, Julia transferred to the professional academy of Excelsior, playing for the first U20 team at the highest national level. They ended the season with a championship. In 2024, Julia took her talents to the United States, joining Lewis and Clark Community College. As a freshman, she was selected as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper, starting every match of the season and recording 39 saves. She helped lead the team to its second consecutive regional championship. Now in her sophomore year, Julia continues to bring energy, focus, and determination to every training and game.

    Julia is often described as a true sweeper keeper, due to her active participation in outfield play. On the field, Julia shows leadership very well and knows how to coach and organize her defense. She has a positive mentality and shows that on the pitch. Her distribution is very good, as well as her overall positioning. She adapts to new environments easily and is always open to feedback to improve herself further. Her ability to comprehend and analyze the strategic aspects of the game is outstanding.

    Julia is a real team player, but she is also very comfortable doing things by herself. Her passion for the game and her motivation push her to be the best version of herself on and off the pitch.

    Julia has worked with several top goalkeeper coaches, including former Dutch international Ed de Goeij (Chelsea, Feyenoord, Sparta, Stoke City). Her journey reflects her passion, resilience, and relentless drive to become the best version of herself—both on and off the pitch.
