Personal Information
Isa van der Sluis is a 17-year-old student from Waddinxveen, the Netherlands. She is a dedicated and disciplined student who consistently aims for strong academic performance. Her achievements include winning an international haiku competition as well as a national German translation contest, reflecting both her creativity and language skills.
In her free time, Isa enjoys spending time with friends and cooking. Overall, Isa is a motivated, curious, and well-rounded student-athlete with a strong work ethic and a broad range of interests. Isa has a strong interest in different cultures and global experiences. She has traveled extensively with her family across Europe and to countries such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Malaysia. Furthermore, she participated in a three-week global citizenship internship in India through her school, where she contributed to community and development projects. This experience further developed her independence, adaptability, and global perspective.
She currently attends Coenecoop College at the VWO level, where she follows a rigorous and well-rounded academic program including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business Economics, Mathematics B, German, English, Dutch, and Physical Education. She has a particular interest in Biology and Chemistry. Outside the classroom, Isa leads an active and sport-oriented lifestyle. She is passionate about soccer and currently competes for ASW Women’s First Team. In addition, she enjoys skiing and snowboarding during the winter months and has recently taken up surfing in the summer, highlighting her enthusiasm for sports and her openness to new challenges.
