Back to school tips for student-athletes

A few back-to-school tips for the start of the school year:

  • Plan out your week
    Make a schedule of when you are going to study for certain tests, do your homework, write your papers, and prepare for your game. This way you won’t fall behind.
  • Take advantage of the support
    Most teams offer study hall hours. Here you can work on your school assignments and get the help needed.
  • Work on the road
    Make sure you bring your homework during the travel days. This way you can be productive while being on the road.
  • Find a study buddy
    Studying with someone will make you finish your assignments and study for your tests more accessible. You can keep each other accountable.
  • Sleep
    Last but not least think of a way to manage your sleep. Being a student-athlete is a lot of work and you will be making long days. Make sure you prioritize sleeping so your body can fully recover for the next day.
