Personal and Academic Information

 

Aditya is a 17-year-old, organized, smart and intelligent student from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is dedicated, committed and faithful to his work. His pleasant personality makes him a very good companion and a fine student. He is a very competitive sportsperson who follows all the ethics of the game. 

 

In addition to being an excellent athlete, he also excels in his academics. He has balanced his studies and sports in a very organized manner. Aditya is consistently among the top of his class. Presently he is studying in the 12th  grade in the Science stream and studies in one of the best colleges in Mumbai and is expected to graduate in March 2020. He scored a 74 on his TOEFL and 1050 on his SAT.

 

It is Aditya's dream to play college tennis in the fall of 2020. 

 

Athletic Information:

 

Aditya started playing tennis at the age of 7 and has been extremely dedicated right since the beginning. During his junior career he played competitive tennis and he grew up the ranks from being 597 in the country to no 9 in the U 14 category. Aditya has won many National Tournament Titles in singles and doubles category. He also has one G5 singles title win under his belt.

 

He currently plays in the U18 category and is presently ranked no 11 in India. His highest ITF ranking was 622 (Jan 2020) and is currently ranked 673. His current UTR is 11.51.

 

Aditya is an aggressive baseline player who likes to go to the net when he gets the change. His main weapon is his powerful and accurate serve. He also possesses a strong and powerful forehand with an equally solid two-handed backhand. In addition he has a strong, athletic built along with great footwork. 

 

Aditya trains for 15-16 hours a week with dedication, which includes both tennis and physical training. In addition to this, he also regularly practices yoga & meditation.

 

Aditya’s best results in the past year: 

  • 6-3 6-3 win over Reiya Komagata of Japan, UTR 11.6 at ITF G3 in Pune (December 2019)
  • ITF G5, Dhaka, Bangladesh Singles winner, doubles semifinalist (November 2019) 
  • Super Series Finalist singles, Mumbai , Maharashtra U 18 (October 2019)
  • National Series, Kavali, Andhra Pradesh,Singles Semifinalist, Doubles Winner (February 2019)
