Personal and academic information
Twenty-year-old Rob Grootjans was born and raised in the south of the Netherlands with his parents and two sisters. From an early age, you could already see his enthusiasm about every sport and he started competing in 3 sports (football, tennis and skiing). In high school the Physical education coaches even recommended him to do track as well since he won seven 10km races during his high school career. However at the age of 13, he decided to focus only on tennis and he never regretted it.
Rob is a social guy and loves to interact with a bunch of different cultures and different generations. He loves to travel, take long walks with his dog to enjoy the nature and spend time with his loved ones.
Rob graduated high school at the highest level (VWO level) in June 2019 and decided to take a year off to teach tennis. Rob is currently a tennis teacher at TK Blau-weiss Aachen and 3 other tennis clubs, and he really enjoys making his students enthusiastic about tennis. Rob recently decided that he wanted to continue his education and is therefore looking to enrol into college in Fall 2020 or spring 2021. He is scheduled to take TOEFL in June 2020.
