Personal and academic information

Inka is a 17-year-old girl who was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Inka is a social, energetic individual who has been very interested in various sports from an early age on. She started doing gymnastics and also started skiing at the age of 4. During her years in high school she played soccer and field hockey and last year she obtained her Dutch golf license. 

She is currently a senior in high school at the highest level (VWO) and is expected to graduate in the subjects: mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, Dutch language, English Language, French language and Spanish language in June 2018. She is awaiting her ACT test result and will take the TOEFL test on June 2nd.

Although she is already accepted at the Delft University of Technology, Inka made the decision to play college tennis. She sees studying in the USA as a great opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s degree while she can keep playing tennis at a high level.

Athletic information

Inka started to play tennis at the age of 10 and during her junior career Inka has successfully participated in several junior and open tournaments as well as club competitions. 

Inka is a 5’5ft right-handed player who likes to play offensively. Her biggest weapons are her forehand, slice and volley’s. Inka is mentally very strong. Besides practice, she loves to play matches and is very competitive. Inka practices approximately 10 hours a week partly with Hugo Ekker and partly at Amstelpark tennis academy. For footwork and endurance training, she trains with Paul Franklin.

Besides playing every year in a team competition she plays individual tournaments in the Netherlands and in Switzerland as well. In Switzerland, she did a training with Glenn Schaap and in Amsterdam a masterclass of Eric van Harpen. The last two years she went to Mallorca to train with Dennis Schenk.
