Tessa started playing tennis when she was 6 years old. During her junior career she has always been ranked top 20 nationally and won several tournaments.  She won 2 Tennis Europe tournaments in de girls doubles under 14 and under 16. Furthermore she has become national champion of girls doubles under 16 and won the district championships under 12, 14, and 16 amongst others.

Last year she won the women’s district championships, the doubles in a national open Dutch women’s tournament and was 2 times runner up in the singles. This year she reached the semi finals of a 3 star national ranked open tournament and the quarter finals of the Dutch women's national championships!Due to these great results she is currently ranked 47 in singles and 48 in doubles in the Dutch open women’s ranking.
