Personal and Academic Information

Jasha is a 16-year-old girl from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. She is currently in her senior year of high school and is expected to graduate in June 2014. At the Center for Sports and Education Jasha can easily combine her tennis practice with school, so she can focus on both her athletic and academic skills. Jasha is planning to take the SAT and the TOEFL- test in the fall of 2013.

Jasha has always been very involved in her tennis club. As a volunteer she works with the youngest tennis-kids and organizes tennis and other sports activities in a team called: “D.O.C.” sponsored by Nike's “Who's next?” In November of 2013 Jasha will be working as an all rounder at the AFAS Tennis Classics, a sports event organized by Alex Reijnders.

Jasha sees college tennis as an opportunity to improve her tennis game, acquire good education and to gain international experience. Jasha's biggest dreams is to travel the world doing what she loves to do most, tennis.

Athletic Information

Since Jasha was 6 years old she loves to play tennis. In her junior career (age 12-16) Jasha has been ranked top 30 nationally and played lot's of national junior circuits. In the national open Dutch women's ranking she is currently ranked a 207 in singles and 185 in doubles. 

She is a left-handed powerful player who plays aggressive tennis from the baseline and is able to quickly adapt her game during a tennis match. Jasha's forehand and her eagerness to put real effort into advancing her play are her specialties. Jasha has won several open tournaments in single as well in doubles.

Jasha practices 8 hours a week of tennis and in addition she goes to the gym once a week.
