Personal and Academic Information
Nick is an eighteen year old boy from Leusden, the Netherlands. He has always been interested in sports and besides tennis he played soccer on a high level. He obtained his high school degree (HAVO level) in June 2012 and he immediately enrolled into college (Windesheim University, the Netherlands) in the fall of 2012. He has management and logistics as major and he currently is on track to complete his sophomore year.
In addition to playing tennis Nick is also active in organizing activities at his club: the Leusden Open tournament and tennis camps for kids.The opportunity to play tennis at a highly competitive level in combination with a good education has always been a dream for him. In addition it would be an amazing life experience.
Athletic Information
Nick started playing tennis at the age of 7. During his junior career he played several national tournaments, and reached a top 30 in the national rankings. In 2011 he won the Utrecht regional championships and this year he won several open tournaments in singles and doubles.
Nick is a left-handed tennis player who prefers to play aggressive from the baseline. His weapons are his powerful backhand and his ability to adapt his game to the situation. Besides that he plays smart and is mentally very strong.
Nick is playing for at TIN-Tennis academy (Tennis Institute Netherlands, Theo Rottier) for 7 years now. In addition he is practicing at his club, LTV Leusden.
