Personal and Academic Information

Yann is a 22 year old player from Fribourg, Switzerland. He is passionate for sports and particularly for tennis.　
Yann obtained his high school diploma in the summer of 2009. As of September 2009, he began a bilingual (French and German) bachelor in Management at the University of Fribourg. After graduating in June, Yann would be very motivated to go to undergraduat or graduate school in the US, because it would allow him to play tennis intensively, while pursuing his education. Yann also enjoys travelling and meeting new people, and he is very excited to take this new challenge. 

Athletic Information

Yann started playing tennis at the age of 5. Along with tennis, he also competed in Alpine skiing and basketball until he turned 13, when he decided to focus on tennis. Throughout his junior career he has always been within the top 15 of his age group. Yann has also been ranked in top 120 players of Switzerland during two years. At the moment he has a national open ranking of 154 due to some injuries that prevented him playing as many tournaments as he wished. However, he is healthy again and is expecting to get back to his previous ranking shortly. In 2010, Yann was also selected to represent Switzerland at the Master U BNP Paribas 2010 in Rouen.　Concerning his game, Yann is a left-handed all court player which like to be very offensive. His forehand is a real weapon; he has a very good anticipation and moves very well on the court. His game should perfectly fir hard court. His lefty serve and his good hands also make him comfortable in double.
