Personal and Academic Information

Rick is a 19 years old guy from Laren, The Netherlands, with a great passion for tennis. Rick obtained his high school diploma in the Summer of 2011 which represents the highest high school academic level in the Netherlands. Rick wants to continue his eduction at a american university in the fall of 2012.

Athletic Information

Rick started to play tennis when he was 4 years old and soon his talents were recognized. He was a highly motivated young player and soon reached a national top 10 rating in juniors. Rick then suffered from the Pfeiffer disease what set him back for almost a year and prevented him of playing national tournaments.

The last two years, Rick has been top fit and he developed himself tremendously. In 2011 He played over 180 official matches and won 20 singles and 8 doubles tournaments. On top of that he became runner up of the "District Utrecht". Rick achieved a top 300 national ranking but he had wins over many nationally ranked players within the top 100 in singles and doubles.

Rick is a defensive base-liner and his biggest qualities are endurance, speed and he rarely makes mistakes. He also posesses a great mental attitude , never gives up and can play his best tennis when the score is tight. 

Rick's aim now is to combine tennis and studying in the USA in order to improve his game and to obtain a good education.
