Michail is a 17 years old guy who is born and raised in Athens, Greece. He grew up with a big passion for tennis and chose to dedicate and discipline his life to this great sport. Michail likes to travel, and in his spear time he listens to music, goes to the cinema or other social events. Michail speaks next to Greek also French and English. He would like to study History, Theology or gymnastic. Michail is currently in his senior year of high school. He is planning on taking his SAT and TOEFL test in January of 2012. Upon completion of these exams, he will be eligible to compete in the NCAA.
Since 2008, Michail has been part of a select group of juniors that plays the national Greek team. He represented Greece in many tournaments including Olympic, European and Balkan. Last year Michail was ranked 34th in Europe and won the national junior championship. This year he is the best ranked junior under 18 in Greece.
Michail is an all around, all court tennis player who is technically sound and uses a variety of shots. He plays with good rotation on the ball and his placement is spectacular. Next to singles, he also is a really good doubles player. Michail has the ambition to play professional tennis in the future and college tennis is a great chance for him to help accomplish this dream and get a good education at the same time.
