Personal Information

Lea is a 22 year old girl who grew up with her family in Stuttgart, Germany. She has 2 siblings, one older and one younger sister. Her hobbys other than soccer are snowboarding and filming short movies.

Lea is very dedicated, motivated and serious about her interests, especially soccer. For her studying in a foreign country means a great opportunity and an exceptional challenge with a chance of learning and experiencing something truly unique. In Europe it's almost impossible to combine education with sports on a competitive level, thus playing college soccer would be the ideal solution for Lea. Lea plans on visiting the US somtime between January and March 2011and visit schools that would be interested in her joining their team.

Athletic Information

Lea has always been very interested in sports trying out all kind of different sports as a young child. Ever since she picked up soccer in elementary school, this became her great passion. At age 15, Lea would already play for the adult's team in the "Verbandsliga" next to the compentition in junior's league. Today, Lea plays in the "Landesliga" for "TSVgg Plattenhardt" as an offensive midfielder. She is not only one of the standouts of her team but also the co-captain leading her team mates and taking responsibility in important situations. Next to playing actively, Lea has been coaching junior league teams, helping young players improve and develop their game. Because of her work ethics, her great attitude on and off the field and her off court engagements she has constantly grown as a soccer player as well as a person. (in the video she's the white shirt #11).

Academic Information

After the 10th grade of the Eduard Spranger Gymnasium  in 2005 Lea decided to attend the one year Berufskolleg for AV Medien at the media GmbH Stuttgart. In 2006 after High School she made an internship at the TV and Movie production Company Osswald. In 2007 she started a 3 year apprenticeship (Ausbildung) in media production which Lea finished with success.

Through studying in the US Lea hopes to further develop her skills in the field of media, which is especially appealing in a country that leading this industry - improve her English and learn about the country and culture.
