Roxanne is a 20 year old girl who lives in a small town in Switzerland together with her mother and older brother.

At the age of 16 Roxanne went to a private high school for elite athletes in Canada to play hockey and learn English for one year. Playing hockey every day and attending highschool classes has improved her hockey goalie skills, as well as helped her to become fluent in English. She also speaks some French and her mother tongue is Swiss-German. Roxanne is scheduled to take the TOEFL in May and the TOEFL shortly after.

It has always been her dream to study and play college hockey in the States and she has been working hard to reach her goal.

She is a goaltender who plays the butterfly-style and she shows good composure during high pressure situations. She is really well at reading the game and she tries never to give up on a shot. She is also a good at clearing the puck out of the zone.

During her junior career Roxanne played at the highest junior level for boys and girls teams. To follow her dreams, she went to Burlington, ON, in summer 2013 for one year as an international studen in the school’s Sports Training Program. At the end of the year she received a varsity batch from Blyth Academy’s Advanced Sports Training Program and was awarded ”Most Improved Athlete“.

Back in Switzerland she started playing for EHC Bülach’s U18 boys’ team. In addition Roxanne was also added to the extended roster of the Swiss Women’s National Team. In August of 2016 she joined the Swiss Women’s’ National Team  for the Mont Blanc Cup in Albertville, France where she played her first international game for Switzerland there.
