Lars is a 18 year old boy who is in love with the game of golf. Lars was born in Italy and has lived there till the age of 14 untill his parents decided to move back to The Netherlands.
While living in Italy, Lars attended the International School of Padua. Since he is back in The Netherlands he attends the International School of Eindhoven. Lars speaks four languages fluently (English, Italian, Dutch and Spanish), and should finish his International Baccalaureat exam in the spring of 2012. Lars is scheduled to take his SAT exam in the fall of 2011. He is taking his exam in the following subjects: Biology (higher level), Chemistry (standard level), Economics (higher level), English (standard level), Spanish (higher level) and Mathematics (standard level). Lars has taken his SAT in October of 2011 and scored: CR;400, Math;600, W;470.
Lars started playing golf at the age of 9 with his teaching pro Tony Lionello. Soon his talents were recognized and he competed at the highest national level for his age group in Italy. When Lars returnd to Holland in 2008 he immediately joined the Dutch national team for which he has been playing up to this date. While representing his country, Lars has been playing many tournaments internationally. In 2011, Lars lowest score was a 64 in the European challenge trophy in Slovakia, where he also won with the Dutch team and therefore qualified for the European boys team championship next year in Sweden. His dream is to become a professional golf player and play on the Pga tour.
Lars currently has a hcp of +1.1 and is currently working on his game with Eric der Kinderen (former coach of the national team)
