Personal and Academic Information


Juliette is a 17-year-old girl who lives with her parents in The Hague, The Netherlands. She has an older brother, Thomas (20-year-old), who studies at the University of Rotterdam. She is passionate about field hockey and would love combine this passion with studying in the us. 


Juliette is a social, dedicated, helpful and studious girl. Besides playing field hockey, Juliette loves to play tennis, meet up with her friends, surf and travel. Juliette is also committed to her high school. Last year she was part of her school board, charity committee and was a helping hand in the cafeteria. 


Juliette is an excellent student and currently in her senior year, holding a 3.3 GPA at the highest high school level in the Netherlands (VWO). In June 2020 she is expected to graduate in the subjects: English, Dutch, German, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Economics. She is scheduled to take her ACT in September and TOEFL in October of 2019.


Athletic Information 


Juliette started to play field hockey at the age of 6 and she has been playing for HDM for eleven years now. During her Junior career she has always played at the highest national level. She was selected for the regional team of South Holland and also selected for the national team U-16. In 2018 she and her team became national champions U-18 and that is the goal for this season as well. 


Juliette is a dynamic and smart midfielder with a good overview of the game. She is a hardworking, fanatic team player who is very versatile and can play at every position in the midfield. With offensive penalty corners she is the injector and for the defensive penalty corner she is the first runner.
