Kevin is an 18-year old half Aruban, half Dutch baseball player who was born in Holland. Coming from a family that is dedicated to baseball and softball, Kevin started playing at the age of 4. Baseball has been a major part of his life eversince. Kevin has always dreamed of going to the United States and to be able to combine education with baseball. At the age of 12, he enrolled in an international school to increase his chances of fulfilling this dream.
Kevin began his baseball career at the baseball club in his Hometown in Hilversum, the Hilversum Hurricanes. Until the age of 14 he played there and played in the top divisions available for his local club to compete in. At the age of 14 he switched to a bigger and better baseball club in Utrecht called EBS/UVV. There, he competed in the highest division of Holland for the age group 14-16. At EBS/UVV he was placed in the best team of UVV started competing against adults at age 16. In 2009, his team became second in the First Division competition. Kevin was the youngest to compete in that league. After that successful 2009 season, he was asked to play for Konica Minolta Pioniers who compete in the Dutch Mayor League. As a rookie, Kevin played in 30 of the 42 games as a 3rd baseman and an outfielder in the 2010 competition. Kevin went 12 for 54 batting .222 with 2 doubles and on OBP of .300.

In 2004 and 2005 Kevin went to the Little League European Championships, in which his team finished 3rd and 2nd. At the age of 15 Kevin trained with the Dutch National team under 16 as a pitcher. In 2010, he played as an outfielder with the U18 team of the Netherlands at the World Junior Championship in Canada. His team finished 6th, the highest ranking the Under-18 team of the Netherlands ever had in this tournament. Kevin was valuable for the team, playing as leftfielder in all 8 games and starting in 7 of them.

Kevin is invited (together with 20 other talented kids from Europe)to play at the Mayor League Baseball organized College Showcase in St.Petersburg, Florida from 6-16 October.
As a baseball player, Kevin is known for his batting skills, power, and flexibility of positions to play. Kevin has an all-around knowledge of the game.
In the Fall of 2011 Kevin will take his last IB exams to finish high school at the International School of Hilversum. As a result of attending an international school, Kevin got his MYP Diploma in 2009 and is now completing the IB Program. The IB Diploma is a type VWO degree that is done in English. Kevin succesfully has taking his SAT and TOEFL exams in fall 2010 he is eligible to compete in all collegiate divisions.
